Monte Antico is a wine created in 1975 by Neil and Maria Empson together with their good friend, winemaker Franco Bernabei. The name Monte Antico means “ancient mountain”, and the wine is the Empsons’ tribute to Tuscany. Its grapes come from historic vineyard sites in the heart of Chianti Classico, at the border of the villages of Monteriggioni and Castellina in Chianti. The Empsons and Bernabei work together on the wine, complementing the Tuscan grape Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
On VinoVoss, Monte Antico has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 841 ratings.
