Miner is a family-owned winery founded in 1996 by Dave and Emily Miner. Dave Miner entered the wine business in 1993 as President of Oakville Ranch Vineyards.
The winery is located in the eastern hills of Oakville within Napa Valley and features a 20,000 square foot cave with underground hallways naturally cooled with high humidity and low temperatures for wine aging. Miner runs exclusively on solar power and maintains complete farming control on selected vineyard sites, which include Stagecoach Vineyard, Garys' Vineyard, Rosella's Vineyard, Sierra Mar Vineyard, Genny's Vineyard, Hyde Vineyard, Gibson Ranch Vineyard, Rafael Vineyard, Volker Eisele Vineyard, Bonny's Vineyard, Steinbeck Vineyard, and Vyborny Vineyard. Its wines include The Oracle, a Bordeaux-style blend released in 2001, and Emily's Cabernet Sauvignon, launched in 2016 in remembrance of Emily Miner.
