Mandrarossa

Mandrarossa is a wine producer founded in Menfi in 1999 after more than 20 years of intensive terroir studies. Its winemaker is Mimmo De Gregorio, and Filippo Buttafuoco is its viticultural technician.

That emphasis on research continued with Vini di Contrada, launched in 2019 following a five-year scientific study of limestone soils. In 2020, the producer expanded beyond Menfi with Etna DOC wines and its first Pantelleria DOC wine. Its wines include Cartagho, made entirely from Nero d’Avola, Bonera Menfi DOC and Santannella, a blend of Fiano and Chenin Blanc.
