Tornatore is a wine producer on Mount Etna’s northern slopes, founded in 1865 by Francesco Tornatore’s great-grandfather. In 1910, his grandfather Giuseppe strengthened the family business by building a palmento in Contrada Piano Fiera. The Tornatore family continued its work from generation to generation.

The estate covers 100 hectares, while the roughly half-hectare Santo Spirito vineyard contains century-old, pre-phylloxera vines. Across the contrade, Calderara has rocky volcanic terrain, while Santo Spirito has a particularly sandy surface. Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante are grown as Etna bush vines on terraces supported by dry-stone lava walls. Alongside respectful farming practices, the producer uses renewable energy exclusively in the winery.
On VinoVoss, Tornatore has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 355 ratings.
