Kopke is a Douro wine producer; Nicolau Kopkë settled in Portugal as Consul General of the Hanseatic League. Wine shipments to northern Europe began in 1638, and a Douro farm purchase in 1781 marked its transition from buying wine to producing it. The company became C. N. Kopke in 1841.

Its wines include DOC Douro wines, all produced at its Quinta de São Luiz, acquired in 1922, on the Douro’s left bank near Pinhão, Tabuaço. The estate covers 125 hectares, including 90 under vine. It includes Quinta da Mesquita, Quinta da Lobata, Quinta da Alegria and Quinta da Galeira, while its original vineyard contains old-vine plots D. Pedro and Fonte Santa. The main varieties are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Cão, alongside small plots of Tinta Barroca and Souzão. Vineyard diffusers disrupt communication between males and females, preventing reproduction and controlling populations without pesticides.
On VinoVoss, Kopke has 7 wines in stock: 7 fortified. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 118 ratings.
