Jean-Paul and Magali Balland developed the estate over 40 years. Since 2001, their daughters Isabelle and Elise have run it together, with Isabelle, an oenologist, handling winemaking and Elise overseeing administration and sales.

Its 24 hectares comprise 22 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and two of Pinot Noir, growing on stony, limestone-rich Caillotes and clay-limestone Terres Blanches soils. Work in these vineyards includes pruning control, debudding, green harvesting and leaf thinning. Its wines include Sancerre Rouge, Sancerre Blanc and Sancerre Blanc Grande Cuvée, whose grapes are harvested by hand, and Sancerre Rosé, whose grapes are machine-harvested. From the 2023 vintage, all its wines are certified organic.
