Hild is a small family business. Vineyard management at the estate is largely handled by son Jonas Hild. Jonas Hild completed winemaking apprenticeships at Kruger-Rumpf on the Nahe and von Othegraven on the Saar.

The estate is located in the Southern Wine Mosel, within the border triangle of Germany, Luxembourg, and France. The estate's vineyard soils feature deep shell limestone (Muschelkalk). Grown grape varieties include Elbling, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Rivaner, Kerner, and Morio-Muskat. In the vineyards, grapes are harvested and selected by hand. During winemaking, the must is fermented very slowly with temperature control in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromas. In addition, sparkling wines are made using traditional bottle fermentation. Its wines include Hild Elbling Brut sparkling wine, which is the estate's top seller.
