Guado al Melo was founded in 1998 by Annalisa Motta and winemaker Michele Scienza, and is managed by the Scienza family. The agricultural history of the estate dates back to at least the early 19th century, becoming part of the Espinassi-Moratti estate in 1820. The estate was acquired in 1998–1999, when several vineyard parcels were replanted. Between 2004 and 2005, the permanent winery was constructed using bio-architectural design.

All of the estate's vineyards are located within the Bolgheri DOC territory, totaling 21.5 hectares, with 16.5 hectares in production. Vineyards are managed sustainably following integrated viticulture principles, with natural grass cover, hedges, and trees. Red grape varieties grown include Syrah, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is built entirely underground from a bio-architecture project. Clarified through traditional racking, wines are not filtered, and sulfur dioxide is added at bottling. Its wines include Bolgheri Superiore Atis, Criseo, Rute, Antillo, and Jassarte.
On VinoVoss, Guado al Melo has 4 wines in stock: 3 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 3.7 out of 5 from 57 ratings.
