Goosecross

Goosecross is a Napa Valley winery founded in the 1970s with vineyard plantings on State Lane in Yountville. Winemaker Bill Nancarrow designed the winery building’s layout, and its renovation was completed in August 2015. Dave Ficeli and Christi Coors Ficeli purchased Goosecross together in 2021.

At its estate vineyard, Goosecross uses cover crops, compost and manure to maintain soil and vine health. It rotates grasses, legumes and mustard, and waters with compost teas to improve fertility. Its wines include single-vineyard Oakville Cabernet from Game Farm, just north of State Lane. In the cellar, fermentation and aging vessels range from tanks and micro bins to barrels and concrete eggs.
