Fontodi

Fontodi has belonged to the Manetti family since 1968.

The estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in the valley south of Panzano known as Conca d'oro, covering 220 hectares in total, with more than 100 hectares of vineyards. It practices certified organic agriculture, following principles of naturalness and sustainability without synthetic chemical products; in addition, the vineyards are fertilized with compost made from pruning residues and manure from the estate's Chianina cattle. All wines are made from hand-picked, carefully selected estate-grown grapes, and both vinification and wood maturation take place in a modern gravity-fed cellar built on descending levels. Its wines include Flaccianello della Pieve and Vigna del Sorbo.
