Fonseca is a Port house founded in 1815 by João dos Santos Fonseca, with estates in the Cima Corgo. In 1820, its founder entered a partnership with Francisco José Gomes Monteiro, forming Fonseca & Monteiro. The house later released the 1840 Vintage and expanded its wine range with the launch of Bin 27 in Great Britain in 1972.

Its three estates are Cruzeiro, Santo António and Panascal, while grape varieties include Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barroca. At Quinta do Panascal, a vineyard parcel planted by Bruce Guimaraens has been farmed organically since 1992. Fonseca’s wines include Terra Prima Organic Port, certified by SOCERT as made from organically grown grapes, alongside the dry white Port Siroco.
On VinoVoss, Fonseca has 3 wines in stock: 3 fortified. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 65 ratings.
