Finca Torremilanos was founded in 1903, when Calixto Seijas Ruiz Zorrilla inherited the land and planted the first vines on ground previously used for sheep grazing. In April 1975, a purchase agreement was signed between Calixto Seijas Ruiz Zorrilla and Pablo Peñalba, and the Peñalba Lopez family acquired the farm. The first winery with a bottling plant was built in 1979 and completed in 1982.

Its vineyards cover 200 hectares on the south bank of the Duero River at an altitude of 800 to 900 meters, where Tempranillo is grown. The property practices biodynamic and organic dry farming without herbicides or insecticides, and all wines are certified organic. For winemaking, the estate operates its own cooperage.
