The vineyard land of Fantesca Estate was part of Caroline Bale's 300-plus acre dowry received by Charles Krug upon their marriage in 1860. In 1889, Hannah Weinberger won an award for Cabernet Sauvignon made from the vineyard's fruit. Decades later, in 2004, Susan and Duane Hoff became proprietors of the estate. Over time, the team has included vineyard manager Jim Barbour, Director DLynn Proctor, consulting winemaker Tony Arcudi, and Heidi Barrett, who departed in 2025.

Located in Spring Mountain, Napa Valley, the 53-acre parcel features a 10-acre estate vineyard divided into eight distinct blocks. The property was replanted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in 1997. Within the vineyard, Block One was planted to Petit Verdot in early 2007 on a steep slope, while Block Three, named the Terrace, is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon on a steep slope. Farming is sustainable and organic under California Certified Organic Farmers certification, preserving biodiversity, ensuring ecological balance, employing natural pest management, and sustaining soil integrity.
