Domaine de la Patience takes its name from an herbaceous plant called La Patience found on its land. Christophe Aguilar vinifies his wines in an ashlar winery dating from 1930. The estate is located near the Pont du Gard between Nîmes and Avignon, in Bezouce. Its vineyards are farmed organically and are located in Bezouce, a Costières de Nîmes terroir with rolled pebbles, and in Lédenon, a Coteaux du Pont du Gard terroir with loess. Grapes grown include Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Merlot, Cinsault, Chardonnay, Grenache blanc, and Vermentino. The estate produces wines under AOP Costières de Nîmes and IGP Coteaux du Pont du Gard. Winemaking involves preserving indigenous yeasts, temperature-controlled fermentation, minimal filtration, and limiting sulfite additions. Its wines include two natural sulfite-free wines: Les Nouvelles, a Grenache-Syrah red blend, and a varietal Merlot red wine.
