Col d'Orcia is a wine estate created in 1958 when Leopoldo and Stefano Franceschi divided the family estate into Il Poggione and Col d'Orcia. In 1973, Stefano Franceschi put Col d'Orcia up for sale, and Count Alberto Marone Cinzano decided to invest. Count Francesco Marone Cinzano took charge in 1992.

The estate covers 520 hectares of vineyards, olive trees, arable land and woodland, all managed organically since 2010. Organic certification followed in 2013, alongside its first organic harvest. The Poggio al Vento vineyard, planted in 1974, is the source of its Riserva. Its wines include Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Poggio al Vento and Rosso di Montalcino Vigna Banditella. Brunello rests before bottling in large Slavonian and Allier casks housed in the ageing cellar established in 1990.
On VinoVoss, Col d'Orcia has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 905 ratings.
