Cliff Lede

At Cliff Lede, Poetry Vineyard was established in 2003 after acquiring 16 planted acres of hillside vineyard. In 2004, David Abreu began replanting the estate vineyards, and a modern winery designed by Howard Backen was completed in 2005. In 2015, the winery achieved Napa Green Winery certification. The Lede family acquired 20 planted acres in Calistoga in 2013, 87 planted acres in Carneros establishing High Fidelity Vineyards in 2019, and 7.5 planted acres contiguous to Rhythm Vineyard from the Andelin family in 2025.

The estate is split into two distinct vineyards in the northern corner of the Stags Leap District appellation. Plantings on Rhythm Vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon. Winemaking utilizes a three-tiered sorting line with hand sorting and a Pellenc optical sorting machine, along with truncated tanks manufactured by Mueller inspired by Château Latour for greater skin submersion. Its wines include Poetry Cabernet Sauvignon.
