Cleto Chiarli is a label of Chiarli, a wine producer founded by Cleto Chiarli in Modena in 1860. In 1898, the Chiarli family acquired Villa Cialdini and its land, laying the foundations for Cleto Chiarli Tenute Agricole. Chiarli is family-run; its fifth generation, Carlo and Tommaso, continued the family’s work during 2000–2017, when Cleto Chiarli Tenute Agricole and Quintopasso were created.

Chiarli introduced autoclaves using the Charmat method in 1952, began recovering and selecting historic Sorbara and Grasparossa clones in 1970, and adopted Geneva Double Curtain vine training in 1972. Chiarli then launched Vecchia Modena Brut, a Lambrusco Sorbara Brut, in 1980. In 2002, Chiarli opened a cellar at Tenuta Cialdini in Castelvetro, producing wines from three owned estates under the Cleto Chiarli label. Chiarli’s wines include Vecchia Modena Brut and Quinto Passo Metodo Classico, a Sorbara made using the classic method.
On VinoVoss, Cleto Chiarli has 2 wines in stock: 2 sparkling. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 179 ratings.
