In 1645, Château de Meursault was purchased by Pierre Legoux de la Berchère, Lord of La Rochepot. In 1953, the Count of Moucheron passed the estate to his eldest son, Etienne de Moucheron. Later, in 1973, André Boisseaux purchased and fully restored Château de Meursault, before the estate was taken over by the Halley family in 2012.

Château de Meursault is located in the Meursault appellation, with vineyards also in Aloxe-Corton, Beaune, Volnay, and Pommard. The entire vineyard of Château de Meursault has been farmed organically since the 2022 vintage, and 75 climats are certified organic up to bottling. In addition, its cellars and vat rooms are powered by 26 geothermal wells dug in the château's park, and its wines include Clos du Château and Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes-Dessus 2023.
