Château de La Maltroye is a family-owned property since 1941. The château has an 18th-century glazed tile roof and 15th-century cellars.

The estate covers 15 hectares total, with 13 hectares in Chassagne-Montrachet and 2 hectares in Santenay, growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Farming includes mechanical soil work, reasoned pest control, yield management, manual harvesting, and sorting. Annual production is approximately 70,000 bottles, 60% white and 40% red, with 70% premier crus. White grapes are pressed within two hours of harvest, start alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, finish fermentation in barrels, and age 12 months before light fining, filtration, and estate bottling. Red grapes are destemmed, cold macerated before fermentation, vat-fermented for 20 to 25 days under temperature control in self-punching stainless steel vats, and aged 14 months in oak barrels on fine lees with light filtration before estate bottling. Its wines include Batard Montrachet Grand Cru, La Dent de Chien, La Romanee, Les Grandes Ruchottes, Clos du Chateau de la Maltroye Monopole, Morgeot Vigne Blanche, and Les Chenevottes.
