Originally planted in the 1880s, Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros, located on the southern tip of Napa Valley. In the late 1880s, Missouri-born settler Quincy Boonfly planted grapes and fruit trees on the property. Johnny Garetto bought the land in 1927 and farmed it until 1961, when he sold to Beringer. After 20 years as a storage facility, Gerret and Tatiana Copeland purchased the winery buildings and 30 acres of surrounding land, updating the property and expanding the vineyards to 100 acres.

Bouchaine has 87 planted acres and holds Fish Friendly and Napa Green certifications. The entire vineyard is hand harvested at night. Deficit irrigation limits vine growth and water consumption, while cover crops such as bell beans, clover, oats, barley, peas, vetch, and rye reduce soil erosion and supply organic matter. Winemaking practices include wild yeast fermentation, minimal extraction, and non-intervention methods. Wines are aged in concrete eggs, large French oak casks, acacia barrels, and clay amphorae. Its wines include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
On VinoVoss, Bouchaine has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 ratings.
