Borgo Scopeto is situated in Castelnuovo Berardenga in the province of Siena. The property includes approximately 70 hectares of vineyards and 50 hectares of olive groves. Vineyards lie at 350 to 420 meters above sea level, mainly facing south and south-west, on sandy soils with sandstone rockiness and clay loam. Forty hectares are planted with different clones of Sangiovese for Chianti Classico. Vigna Misciano lies above 400 meters, facing south-east, with Sangiovese (90%), Syrah and Canaiolo (10%).

Harvest typically starts in the third week of September, with predominantly manual picking. The cellar holds 50 stainless steel tanks totaling 7,000 hectoliters. Wines age in 30-hectoliter Slavonian oak casks and 300- to 500-liter French oak tonneaux. Vin Santo del Chianti Classico is made from Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes dried for three months on racks and aged for a minimum of two years in caratelli.
