Alvar de Dios

Alvar de Dios is a wine producer whose founder, Álvar de Dios Hernández, began tending his grandfather Donaciano’s hundred-year-old vineyard in El Pego, within the Toro appellation, in 2008 and established his own winery in 2014. In 2015, he extended his work into Arribes del Duero.

The producer farms its plots organically and biodynamically, and its vineyards include old Tinta de Toro vines growing on sand. In El Maderal, Vagüera is a north-facing plot within a cork oak wood, with Doña Blanca planted in 1920.
