Ackerman Family Vineyards

Ackerman Family Vineyards is a wine producer with a vineyard in Coombsville purchased in 1994. It released its first commercial vintage in 2007. Lauren Ackerman is president, and Leo Tellez is winemaker.

Its 11-acre organic Stonehaven Vineyard lies in the Coombsville AVA. By 2009, Ackerman Family Vineyards had earned the appellation’s first California Certified Organic Farm (CCOF) label. Farming uses natural fertilization and biological pest management, without chemical pesticides, whether manufactured or natural. Hawks help control vineyard rodents, and two hawk boxes on the property are occupied all year. Beginning with the 2019 harvest, Ackerman Family Vineyards wines are produced at Sodaro Estate Winery in Coombsville. Ackerman Family Vineyards’ wines include the 2003 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
