Voss Expert tasting note
The bouquet is a symphony of dried cherries, blackcurrant, and fig, intertwined with complex layers of dark chocolate, anise, and a subtle hint of leather.

Savin Jovano
Full bodied and fruity wine with a polished finish, featuring a blend of fresh and dried fruit flavors, featuring cherry, strawberry, and raisin. The tannins are well-balanced, with a trace of acidity, and a mild sweetness that makes it a delightful and pleasant drink. The follow through is long and satisfying, with notes of chocolate and toffee.
Ticaroa
Rare and elite vintage, I was initially drawn to the younger vintages on this Zenato Amarone tasting with Alfredo Zenato. Despite my initial preference, I found myself drawn to the older vintages. I hope to visit the winery in Italy someday.

Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Archivio Storico 2008 is praised for its full-bodied and fruity profile, with fresh and dried fruit flavors like cherry, strawberry, and raisin. The wine has well-balanced tannins, mild sweetness, and a long finish with chocolate and toffee notes. While some appreciate its polished finish, others are drawn to its rarity and elite status.
This Amarone della Valpolicella unveils a deep garnet hue, hinting at its concentrated nature. The bouquet is a symphony of dried cherries, blackcurrant, and fig, intertwined with complex layers of dark chocolate, anise, and a subtle hint of leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a robust structure supported by finely integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. The finish is long and resonant, echoing notes of dried fruit and spice. This wine exemplifies the rich, opulent style of Amarone, offering both immediate pleasure and potential for aging.
