Voss Expert4.5/5

Voss Expert tasting note

Viladellops Parañy presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a complex tapestry of ripe blackberries, crushed violets, and a whisper of anise, underscored by a subtle minerality that speaks to its terroir. On the palate, the wine unfolds with a harmonious balance of velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, offering layers of dark plum, cedar, and a hint of graphite. The finish is enduring, with a nuanced echo of dried herbs and a touch of cocoa. This wine exemplifies the elegance and depth typical of its region, promising both immediate pleasure and potential for further development.

Viladellops Parañy is crafted from grapes grown in the Penedès region of Catalonia, benefiting from Mediterranean influences that promote balanced ripening. This wine is produced using traditional methods, with fermentation occurring in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural fruit character. A portion of the wine undergoes aging in French oak barrels, imparting subtle complexity and structure. The result is a wine that showcases vibrant fruit flavors, supported by a fresh acidity and a nuanced finish. Ideal for those who appreciate a harmonious blend of fruit expression and oak influence.
