Vasse Felix Filius Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Vasse Felix Filius Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and vanilla. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and balanced oak, others find it lacks depth. The wine's earthy and herbal undertones, along with a hint of mint, add complexity. It's considered a good value, though opinions vary on its aging potential.

The Vasse Felix Filius Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep, inky color that sets the stage for its rich profile. The nose is an elegant array of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, accompanied by subtle nuances of eucalyptus, graphite, and a hint of cedarwood. The palate is both luscious and complex, presenting flavors of dark fruits, forest floor, and a touch of dark chocolate. Firm but fine-grained tannins provide a solid structure, while balanced acidity adds freshness and vitality. The finish is long and resonant, leaving a memorable impression of fruit, spice, and well-integrated oak. An exquisite example of Margaret River Cabernet, this wine is versatile enough to enjoy now or cellar for future enjoyment.
