This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo presents a deep, garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it unveils a bouquet of ripe black cherry and plum, interwoven with hints of dried herbs and a subtle, earthy minerality. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that lends balance and freshness. Notes of dark chocolate and a whisper of spice emerge, leading to a long, satisfying finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential qualities of Montepulciano, offering both complexity and approachability, making it a fine representative of its organic origins.

Kanyana Mussani
Disappointing experience, with an unpleasant alcoholic smell and a dominant strawberry licorice and coffee flavor profile. However, the addition of medium liveliness and tannins has improved the altogether taste experience, with measured persistence. Unfortunately, this journey would not be repeated.

Wine's character evolves over time, with some wines retaining their edge and vibrancy in contrast others lose their luster. This particular wine, which I had over two days, underwent a transformation. Initially, it was edgy and vibrant, with tart and clean acidity. However, upon reflection, I noticed that it had lost some of its panache, becoming rather flat and unbalanced.
Orfila
Decent, pleasant red wine with a straightforward character. The nose is shaped by by blackberry and oak, with a undertone of black cherry and plum. The tannins are well-integrated, but the ending is brief and unremarkable. Overall, a solid, easy-drinking option for those craving a straightforward, no-frills red wine.

This organic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo shows mixed reception with praise for fruit-forward plum/cherry flavors and earthy undertones, though criticized for unbalanced tannins and short finishes. While some appreciate its rustic character and drinkability, others find it flat or overly tannic. Acidity ranges from tart liveliness to sharpness across vintages.
