The wine's touch is surprisingly soft, but its sweetness is a major draw. The oak influence is omnipresent, yet it remains approachable, making it a comforting experience. The nose is defined by by tobacco, which adds strength without overpowering the palate.

What the web is saying

TOR Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich fruit flavors, silky texture, and well-balanced tannins. While some appreciate the oak influence and complex berry notes, others find it merely decent. The wine's nose often features forest floor, leather, and chocolate. It offers a smooth, long finish, though some suggest it needs time to mature fully.

Voss Experts4.7

A quintessential expression of Napa Valley's Oakville terroir, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterclass in balance and depth. The nose is a symphony of blackcurrant, cassis, and graphite, underscored by subtle hints of cedar and forest floor leaf. On the palate, it unfolds with a velvety texture, revealing layers of ripe plum, dark chocolate, and a whisper of espresso. The tannins are finely grained, providing structure without overshadowing the wine's inherent elegance. A vibrant acidity ensures a long, polished finish, making this wine not only a benchmark for the region but also a candidate for extended cellaring.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
