Tierhoek Chardonnay

Tierhoek Chardonnay is praised for its crisp, clean taste with citrus and apple notes, making it refreshing for warm weather. While some enjoy its bracing quality and delicate butterscotch and oak touches, others find it slightly overpowering. The wine's vibrant, refreshing nature and supple finish are appreciated, though some vintages are considered unremarkable. Overall, it offers a lively drinking experience with a mineral nuance.

Displaying a radiant straw hue, the Tierhoek Chardonnay opens with an aromatic bouquet of ripe stone fruits, notably peach and apricot, interwoven with subtle hints of citrus blossom and a whisper of flinty minerality. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious balance of creamy texture and vibrant acidity, underscored by nuances of toasted almond and a delicate touch of vanilla from well-judged oak integration. The finish is elegantly persistent, leaving a lingering impression of lemon curd and a saline edge. This Chardonnay exemplifies the refined complexity and finesse characteristic of its South African terroir.
