A vintage 2010 is unfortunately oxidized.

3.5+ but I'm swayed by the next bottle's unusually tannic and oak-y character. Earthy undertones. It feels like it's been aged in a barrel, but it's also remarkably light in color. It's a mystery wine, and I'm both intrigued and perplexed. Cheers!

I'm looking forward to comparing the Australian Shiraz with the Italian Syrah next week.

What the web is saying

Thorn-Clarke Milton Park Chardonnay receives mixed reviews. While some appreciate its well-balanced, fruity, and elegant profile with notes of citrus, peach, and vanilla, others find it lacking in complexity and depth. The 2010 vintage is noted for being oxidized. It's often described as light and approachable, though some find it too simple or prematurely aged. A versatile wine, it pairs well with cheese and Mediterranean dishes.

Voss Experts3.8

This Thorn-Clarke Milton Park Chardonnay has a rich and vibrant nose of ripe yellow fruit, honey, and citrus with a hint of toasty oak on the palate. Its medium-bodied with great acidity and a long finish. On the palate, it has a strong core of tropical fruit flavors, with a creamy texture and vibrant pineapple and lemon notes. The finish is long and lingering with bright acidity and hints of toast and butterscotch. Enjoy with roasted chicken or grilled fish.
