Nikila
Well-balanced and pleasant wine with a lush berry fruit nose and nuanced earthy undertones, elevated by a dash of mushroom and a muted cherry flavor profile. The wine's medium body and controlled tannins make it a exceptional worth for its price point.
Mads
Certain Italian wine style that evokes a distinct nose, yet remains somewhat elusive to my balanced flavor - a characteristic that makes it stand out in this particular category. This wine is undoubtedly one of the finest I've encountered in this style, boasting a nose that is unmistakably on point. I recall a similar wine that was slightly more refined in mouthfeel and sharper in its acidity. The aging process likely played a role in its refinement. This wine still retains a respectable amount of fruit, albeit with a slightly reduced sharpness, and its tartness is tempered by a more casual demeanor. Western Market $18. A notable value, indeed.
Rouise Monarcha
Delightful Italian wine that offers a fantastic affordability for its price. Its understated style makes it a pleasure to drink, with a black cherry flavor that continues on the palate. It's a mind-blowing favorite for pairing with a variety of dishes, or simply sipping by the fire. A wonderful deal for the price.

Tenuta La Pergola Monferrato Rosso is praised for its balanced profile showcasing black cherry, blackberry, and earthy notes with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. While some note exceptional value and food versatility, others find certain vintages less refined in mouthfeel. The wine delivers consistent complexity with both fruity and savory elements across vintages.
This Monferrato Rosso presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a complex tapestry of ripe black cherry, plum, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of cedar and earth. On the palate, the wine reveals a structured yet supple body, with finely integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that carries the dark fruit and spicy nuances through to a lingering finish. This wine exemplifies the Monferrato region's ability to produce reds of both power and finesse, making it an excellent candidate for both current enjoyment and short-term cellaring.
