Voss Expert tasting note

A luminous, pale straw hue introduces this Malagousia, offering an aromatic bouquet of white peach, jasmine, and a whisper of basil, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it unfolds with a medium-bodied texture, revealing layers of ripe apricot and citrus zest, harmonized by a vibrant acidity that lends precision and lift to the wine's structure. The finish is elegantly prolonged, with a delicate hint of almond and a saline edge, showcasing the varietal's finesse and the winemaker's deft touch. This wine stands as a benchmark for modern Greek whites, marrying complexity with refreshing clarity.

Sabanis Malagousia is crafted from the aromatic Malagousia grape, native to Greece, and thrives in the sun-drenched vineyards of the region. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to capture their vibrant floral and citrus character. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural freshness and aromatic intensity. This wine is unoaked, allowing the pure expression of Malagousia's fruit-forward profile, with notes of peach, apricot, and a hint of herbal undertones. Its crisp acidity makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a refreshing and versatile white wine.
