Rocca di Frassinello Maremma Toscana 2020

I've recently developed a fondness for aged wines. This particular bottle is 14 years old. The nose is defined by by a prevailing tobacco flavor, with less vibrancy present. The freshness is relatively low, and the wine feels slightly watery. The tannins are average, and the color is a deep, almost brown hue. Despite its age, this wine is still a good worth for its price. I've thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm glad I discovered it. The website claims it's the first vintage they've ever produced, which adds to its allure.

Multi faceted and alluring wine with a rich, intense garnet hue, complemented by gentle accents of moss, leather, and incense on the nose. The mouthfeel unfolds with plum, cassis, and cherry flavors, accompanied by a dash of tobacco, all at the same time maintaining a smooth, soft texture and a medium-bodied structure.

Sumptuous ruby red wine with an abundance of floral notes, red berries, and understated layers of vanilla, accompanied by a sophisticated tannic structure. A well-balanced, medium-bodied wine with a supple finish.
