Sumptuous, luscious wine with a rich, silky consistency and a fruity, slightly sweet character. The suggestions are expertly balanced, with a deep, dense fruitiness, a suggestion of earthy undertones, and a contenting finish. The wine's color is a deep, deep garnet, and its aroma is nothing short of intoxicating. It pairs beautifully with a hearty, comforting meal, such as a classic roast beef with horseradish sauce. The price from Dan's is truly exceptional, making it a worthwhile investment. I highly recommend it.

A cohesive blend of grapes yields a well-balanced red, with a flavor profile that combines the richness of blackberry and the smoothness of leather.

What the web is saying

Quinta de São Sebastião Forte do Cego Tinto is praised for its rich, fruity character with notes of cherry, blackberry, and chocolate. It has a smooth texture and a balanced finish, though some find it one-dimensional. The wine is affordable and pairs well with hearty meals. While some appreciate its complexity, others feel it lacks depth. Overall, it's a solid choice for its price.

Voss Experts4.5

A deep garnet hue introduces this robust Portuguese red, revealing a complex bouquet of ripe blackberries, dried herbs, and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it showcases a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that elegantly frames its core of black plum and cassis flavors. Subtle notes of graphite and anise emerge, adding depth to its layered profile. The finish is long and harmonious, marked by a mineral undertone that speaks to its terroir. This wine exemplifies the finesse and power characteristic of premium Douro Valley reds.
