This Piaggia Il Sasso Carmignano offers a deep ruby color, aromas of dark fruit, dried herbs, and an earthy, mineral complexity. On the palate, the wine is nicely balanced, with a medium body and firm tannins that linger on the finish. Flavors of blackberry, cherry, and forest floor lead to a complex, savory finish. This is an excellent example of the Carmignano region's classic style, and will pair nicely with a variety of dishes.

Ode
Supple and fruit-forward red wine with a minerality hinting at of the piagga, but with a more introductory and accessible profile. and yet it shares the same score as the riserva, its ageing potential is diminished, making it a more perfect top pick for everyday consumption.
Qing
Graceful blend of Italian varietals, with a decadent and gentle texture, supported by the subtle nuances of oak and leather. The tannins are well-integrated, providing profile and strength to the wine. A well-crafted effort, with a long-term potential for aging and enjoyment. A stonking highlight for those chasing a balanced and sophisticated wine experience.

Seamless pairing with Italian cuisine, this wine proved to be a rewarding accompaniment to our meal. The fruit notes, though prominent, were tempered by a crisp acidity, which added density and nuance to the as a whole experience. The wine's dryness was well-balanced, with subtle suggestions of cedar and cigar wrapper. but not a significantly evolved wine, it demonstrated a satisfying level of restraint, making it an enjoyable highlight for those expecting a straightforward, easy-drinking option. A good opportunity to revisit with age, I would recommend.
