This Paolo Scavino Barbera d'Alba is a beautifully balanced expression of the classic Piedmontese variety. The wines has a deep ruby-purple hue in the glass with aromas of wild blackberries and dried herbs give way to a juicy palate of ripe plum and black cherry, with subtle notes of liquorice. The tannins are velvety and smooth, and the finish is moderately long and well-defined.

Aged with care, this wine has retained its charm. The cork's imposing impression is tempered by the gentle curves of the glass, which reveals its rich, deep hue. The nose is warm and inviting, with aromas of black cherry, tobacco, and sage that unfold with ease. The texture is a symphony of juicy flavors, with flavors of opaque chocolate and cinnamon emerging early, only to be polished by refined tannins and a undertone of vanilla on the finish.
Yesh
Deep and full-bodied wine with a well-rounded flavor profile that displays the best of Italian winemaking. The plum, blackberry, and cassis nuances are masterfully balanced, at the same time whispers of licorice and cocoa add density and nuance. The tannins are moderately firm, but the ending is gentle and satisfying, making it a remarkable selection for those expecting a powerful red.
Kelsen
Remarkably fresh and vibrant wine, boasting a deep, intense colour and an abundance of ripe red fruits. The herbal notes add a welcome complexity, elevating this wine to a truly compelling imbiding experience.

Paolo Scavino Barbera d'Alba is praised for its rich, full-bodied character and complex flavor profile, featuring notes of cherry, plum, and chocolate. While some appreciate its smooth and velvety texture, others note a firm tannic structure. The wine's balance of fruit and spice, along with subtle herbal and oak influences, makes it a versatile choice. Opinions vary on its acidity, with some finding it refreshing and others noting a pronounced finish.
