This Zinfandel presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a vibrant tapestry of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and a hint of black pepper, underscored by subtle notes of vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure, with velvety tannins and a balanced acidity that enhances its fruit-forward profile. The mid-palate is enriched with layers of cocoa and a whisper of licorice, culminating in a long, spicy finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential Lodi Zinfandel, offering both complexity and approachability, ideal for pairing with hearty dishes.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Oak Farm Tievoli Zinfandel originates from the Lodi region, known for its warm climate and sandy loam soils, which contribute to the wine's ripe fruit character. The Zinfandel grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to ensure a balance of fruit and acidity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal's natural fruit flavors. The wine is then aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels, imparting subtle vanilla and spice notes. This Zinfandel is crafted to be approachable, with a medium to full body, showcasing flavors of dark berries and a smooth finish.
