This Bourgogne Aligoté presents a pale straw hue with a glint of green, indicative of its youthful vitality. The nose is a refined bouquet of white blossoms, green apple, and a whisper of crushed stone, underscoring its mineral backbone. On the palate, it offers a crisp, linear profile with vibrant acidity that enlivens notes of citrus zest and a hint of almond skin. The finish is clean and precise, with a subtle saline edge that speaks to its terroir. This Aligoté exemplifies the varietal's potential for elegance and finesse, making it a compelling choice for aficionados of Burgundy's lesser-known gems.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Narjoux Normand Bourgogne Aligoté is crafted from the Aligoté grape, grown in the renowned Burgundy region of France. This wine benefits from the region's cool climate, which preserves the grape's natural acidity. The winemaking process involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maintain the fresh, crisp character of the wine, with no oak influence. The result is a dry, light-bodied wine with bright acidity and a focus on citrus and green apple flavors. It is designed to be enjoyed young, offering a refreshing and straightforward expression of the Aligoté variety.
