Waste of time and money, this journey was a complete disappointment.

What the web is saying

Voss Experts4.4

This intriguing blend from Rosswag presents a vibrant garnet hue, leading to an expressive bouquet of red currant, wild strawberry, and a hint of black pepper. On the palate, the wine reveals a medium-bodied structure with fine-grained tannins and a lively acidity that underscores its youthful vigor. The interplay of ripe cherry and subtle herbal nuances adds depth, while a whisper of minerality provides a refined finish. This wine exemplifies the harmonious balance typical of the Württemberg region, offering both immediate appeal and potential for short-term cellaring.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

This wine is a blend of Lemberger and Trollinger grapes, cultivated on the steep, terraced slopes of the Rosswager Halde in Germany's Württemberg region. The vineyard's unique microclimate, influenced by its southern exposure and the Neckar River, promotes optimal ripening conditions. The wine is crafted to highlight the vibrant fruit character of Lemberger, with Trollinger adding a light, fresh dimension. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's natural acidity and fruit-forward profile, resulting in a balanced, approachable style perfect for casual enjoyment or pairing with a variety of dishes.
