A truly extraordinary wine that exceeded my expectations, with a intricate and thought provoking profile that defies categorization. The Taurasi exhibits a lush and layered character, with a captivating olfactory profile that seamlessly blends sweet and savory notes. The concentration and tannin backbone are masterfully balanced, yielding a vibrant and energetic finish. The lively bracing quality and long duration of the aftertaste only add to the wine's allure.

I thoroughly appreciated this moment immensely. I prepared some delicious coniglio alla ligure for Pasquetta and paired it with this exceptional 2012 Taurasi from Paternopoli. It truly exceeded our expectations. The sweetness was balanced, the pomegranate juice was a delightful surprise, and the tannins were well-behaved yet still showed strong ageing potential. I highly recommend it.

Le Masciare Pian del Bosco Taurasi 2012 is praised for its lush, layered character and balanced tannins. While some find its sweet and savory notes captivating, others highlight its vibrant finish and aging potential. The wine's lively quality and long aftertaste are consistently admired, with hints of pomegranate juice adding a delightful surprise.
This Taurasi presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The bouquet unfurls with layers of black cherry, dried plum, and a hint of leather, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure, with firm yet refined tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and longevity. The mid-palate offers complex notes of dark chocolate and anise, leading to a long, savory finish. This wine exemplifies the quintessential power and elegance of Taurasi, promising further evolution with careful cellaring.
