Catzin
I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was likely less elegant after a short period of storage in the refrigerator, but still satisfying. The aftertaste was importantly pleasant, especially when paired with some Manchego cheese.

The label features a diverse range of names, each with its own unique story. Co-owner Bettina Sichel's vision was to create a wine that would showcase the best of the region, and Blanc Slate has certainly achieved this goal. The winery's first foray into whites, Blanc Slate is a testament to the team's dedication and expertise.
Anne-Lie
A racy and zesty wine with a dry but fruity character, accompanied by a soft taste that is sure to please.

Laurel Glen Blanc Slate Sauvignon Blanc is praised for its racy, zesty, and dry yet fruity character. While some note it loses elegance after refrigeration, others highlight its pleasant aftertaste, especially with Manchego cheese. The wine is seen as a successful showcase of regional excellence, reflecting the dedication of its creators.
This Sauvignon Blanc presents a luminous pale straw hue, indicative of its vibrant character. On the nose, it unfurls an aromatic bouquet of zesty lime, freshly cut grass, and a whisper of white peach, underscored by a subtle mineral edge. The palate is a harmonious interplay of crisp acidity and a textured mouthfeel, revealing layers of green apple and passion fruit. A flinty minerality threads through its core, leading to a refreshing, clean finish. This wine exemplifies the precision and elegance of a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc, making it a benchmark for the varietal.
