Voss Expert tasting note

Lapostolle Clos du Lican presents a deep garnet hue, revealing its concentrated nature. The bouquet unfolds with layers of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and subtle hints of graphite, underscored by a delicate floral perfume. On the palate, it offers a harmonious interplay of velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, creating a well-structured framework. The mid-palate is enriched with notes of dark chocolate and a whisper of cedar, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and complexity characteristic of Chilean terroir, promising both immediate pleasure and potential for graceful aging.

Lapostolle Clos du Lican is crafted from grapes grown in the Apalta Valley, a region known for its unique microclimate influenced by the Andes Mountains and the nearby Tinguiririca River. This red wine is made using a blend of traditional and modern winemaking techniques, including fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit's natural character. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding depth and complexity. Clos du Lican offers a balanced profile with ripe fruit flavors, moderate acidity, and a smooth finish, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
