La Tour Melas Idylle d'Achinos Rosé 2024

2020

Lush and opulent wine with a deep, golden hue. Its aromatic profile is shaped by a sweet and exotic bouquet, featuring hints of pineapple, orange blossom, nectarine, and papaya. The tasting is dense and layered, with a concentrated and evolved feel that unfolds with the same notes of star anise, orange zest, and strawberry. A light sweetness is harmonious by a fresh acidity, at the same time a lingering lasting impression is punctuated by earthy undertones, leaving a comforting impression.

A lean summer evening in Athens, surrounded by the warm glow of the city's nightlife, was the perfect setting for a glass of this wine. The initial experience was of a salmon-colored hue, which quickly became apparent as the wine's refined character emerged. The body was medium, with a light pace that belied its substantial ingredients. The wine's flavor profile was a masterful blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Agiorgitiko, resulting in a seamless and polished experience. The close was supple and satisfying, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. A perfect pairing for a warm summer evening, I found this wine to be a delightful companion for the evening's festivities.
