Jean Fournier Cuvée Saint-Urbain Marsannay Blanc is praised for its silky texture, rich fruit notes of apple, melon, and peach, and a smooth, creamy finish. While some highlight its crisp acidity and spicy finish, others appreciate its honey and butter nuances. It's versatile with food pairings, particularly seafood and white meats, and offers a well-structured, engaging experience.
This Marsannay Blanc presents a luminous straw hue, revealing a bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle, and a whisper of flint. On the palate, it exhibits a harmonious interplay of creamy texture and vibrant acidity, underscored by notes of ripe pear and subtle almond. The mid-palate is enriched by a mineral backbone, characteristic of its Burgundian terroir, leading to a poised, lingering finish with hints of citrus zest and a touch of salinity. This wine exemplifies the finesse and precision typical of Marsannay, offering a compelling expression of Chardonnay from this northernmost Côte de Nuits appellation.
