Il Conte Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2023

The nose is influenced by by a pungent, acidic bouquet, with a sharp, fruity undertone. A sweet and lively quality trails beneath, tempered by earthy undertones. The impression is similarly divided, with a bitter tail that lingers. The zest is still quite sharp, but the sweetness and sweetness begin to emerge, leaving a lingering aftertaste. A wine that may benefit from a neutralizing agent, such as cheese or tomato sauce, to symmetry its acidity. However, its pairing potential is still evident, distinctly with a salad featuring Balsamic vinaigrette. A outstanding wine, but one that may not be the best highlight for immediate consumption.

Straightforward, rustic Italian red that pairs well with casual fare. The nose is centered around by ripe plums, thyme, and mesquite, with a accent of woody tannins. The taste is light and easy-drinking, with a focus on savory, herbaceous touches and a gentle sweetness. Cranberry acids add a touch of brightness. For a warm day, this is a apt choice. It's a simple, uncomplicated wine that won't overpower the senses. A good match for antipasti or a Neapolitan-style margherita pizza.
