What the web is saying

Il Borro Toscana Pian di Nova Rosso is praised for its rich, full-bodied character and harmonious blend of Syrah and Sangiovese. It features flavors of cherry, blackberry, and spice, with a smooth, velvety finish. While some find it complex and nuanced, others note it lacks distinctiveness. The wine pairs well with hearty dishes, offering good value for its price.

Voss Experts4.0

The Il Borro Toscana Pian di Nova Rosso is a nuanced and complex red blend, boasting aromas of ripe cherries, wild berries, leather, and a subtle hint of forest floor. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and intense, with a well-balanced acidity and silky tannins that provide structure and length. Notes of red fruit, toasted oak, licorice, and earthy spices linger on the finish. Enjoyable now, this wine will also reward cellaring for several years.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
