BBQ season is underway. Provençal sausages are particularly well-suited to a bracing Rioja rosado. The punch of the strawberries, citrus, and minerals complements the wine's light, bright character. The brightness provides a nice cohesion for the meal, at the same time the tannins linger pleasantly in the finish. This is a simple yet comforting pairing that's perfect for a leisurely Sunday afternoon.

What the web is saying

Hacienda López de Haro Rosado is appreciated for its vibrant red fruit flavors, particularly cherry and strawberry, with citrus and mineral notes. Some find it refreshing and well-suited for summer, while others note a sour cherry flavor that detracts from the experience. It offers a mix of zesty crispness and smoothness, making it a versatile choice for various occasions.

Voss Experts4.4

This Rioja rosé captivates with its pale salmon hue, offering a bouquet of wild strawberries and delicate rose petals, underscored by a hint of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious balance of crisp acidity and a subtle mineral backbone, characteristic of its region. The mid-palate is enlivened by notes of red currant and a whisper of citrus zest, leading to a refreshing, dry finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and elegance of modern Spanish rosados, making it an ideal companion for light tapas or a leisurely afternoon in the sun.
