Grgich Hills Fumé Blanc NV

Grgich Hills Sauvignon Blanc is praised for its vibrant citrus and tropical fruit flavors, with notes of oak and minerality. While some appreciate its crisp acidity and complex layers, others find it lacks the typical Sauvignon Blanc crispness. The wine is versatile, pairing well with seafood and spicy dishes, and is noted for its refreshing finish and elegant balance.

For tasting, this wine shows a lifted, vibrant profile built around citrus, floral, and subtly herbaceous notes, with a polished texture and bright, mouthwatering acidity. There is a lovely sense of freshness throughout, balanced by lees aging that adds depth and a more layered, graceful feel on the palate. Its style is dry, energetic, and quietly sophisticated rather than overtly tropical or sharp. It pairs especially well with oysters, grilled prawns, ceviche, goat cheese, herb-roasted chicken, asparagus, and fresh spring vegetables. It is also an excellent aperitif white, particularly for those who enjoy Sauvignon Blanc with more texture and elegance.
