Voss Expert tasting note

This Barbera d'Asti presents a vibrant ruby hue, indicative of its youthful vigor. The nose is a harmonious blend of red cherry, plum, and subtle violet, underscored by a hint of anise. On the palate, it showcases a medium-bodied structure with a lively acidity that is quintessential to the Barbera grape, offering a refreshing counterpoint to its plush fruit core. The tannins are finely grained, providing a gentle grip that enhances the wine's balance. A whisper of spice and earthiness emerges on the lingering finish, marking it as a classic expression of the Asti terroir.

Giovine Barbera d'Asti hails from the Asti region in Piedmont, Italy, known for its rolling hills and temperate climate. The Barbera grape thrives here, benefiting from the warm days and cool nights that preserve its natural acidity. This wine is fermented in stainless steel to maintain its fresh, fruit-forward profile, showcasing vibrant notes of cherry and plum. A brief period of aging in neutral oak softens the wine without overshadowing its bright character. This Barbera d'Asti is crafted for immediate enjoyment, offering a balanced and approachable style with moderate tannins and a lively finish.
