Garesio Nizza presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is an intricate tapestry of ripe black cherry, plum, and subtle violet, underscored by hints of forest floor and cedar, showcasing its time in oak. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that maintains balance. The flavors echo the nose, enriched by nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of graphite, leading to a long, savory finish. Garesio Nizza is crafted from 100% Barbera grapes grown in the Nizza DOCG region of Piedmont, Italy, known for its warm, sunny climate and calcareous clay soils that enhance the grape's natural acidity and fruit concentration. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve its vibrant fruit character, followed by aging in oak barrels to add depth and complexity. This results in a full-bodied red wine with pronounced notes of red berries, balanced acidity, and a smooth tannin structure, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
